How do you feel about mediumship?

A lot of people think that mediumship is only for certain gifted psychics who can connect with loved ones who have crossed over. But mediumship is another form of intuition because you receive the guidance and you receive the messages from a departed soul through your intuition. And each and every one of us is born with intuition so, therefore, each and every one of us is born with the ability to connect with and communicate with loved ones who have crossed over.

Each and every one of us, should we wish to do so, can hone our skills of mediumship. And that is exactly what this card is saying to us today. Mediumship is not just for people who are deemed to be gifted. Mediumship is for you and it's for me.

Whenever loved ones leave us on this physical plane, it doesn't mean to say they have left us forever. They are still around us. And if you tune into your ability to connect with them and communicate with them, they will always remain close, they will always be there to support you, to guide you, and you will feel that support and guidance.

There's not a lot of symbolism going on in this card, though there are a couple of colours that caught my eye.

First off, the light blue in the background. She's standing on a cloud so I'm assuming the light blue represents the sky, a lovely clear sky. But  what felt most important to me was the actual colour, the light blue. And, for me, light blue is the colour of harmony. Think about it. If you practice mediumship, if you practice communicating with your loved ones, or the loved ones of friends and family around you, for example, you no longer have to go through the suffering of feeling removed and departed from your loved ones because you are able to bring the messages the loved ones want to send to those people and to yourself. So, it brings a sense of harmony to everyone involved; the loved ones who have crossed over get a chance to pass on their messages to the ones they have left behind, the ones who are left behind get that comfort and reassurance that, although physically their loved ones have moved on, spiritually they haven't. They are still around.

The other thing that caught my eye, again it was a colour, and it was the dress on the angel. Initially I looked at it and thought, is it pink? But then thought, no, it's not pink, it's more like a mauve to me. And mauve is the colour of purity and devotion. Our loved ones are devoted to us. It doesn't matter whether they're on the physical plane or whether they've moved on to the spiritual plane, they are devoted to us and it's lovely that we can devote ourselves to them as well and bridge the gap that seems to be there by communicating with them, by receiving their messages, by feeling them around us, by hearing them perhaps telling us how much they love us.

The angels today are very much encouraging us to take on the ability and the skill and the gift that we were born with, that we can communicate with loved ones who have crossed over. Mediumship is not for the special few, it's not just for people we deem to be gifted because we are all gifted. It's another form of intuition and we can all use it. It's just a matter of strengthening that muscle and practising it. But we have it within us. It's just raising the desire to use it, to connect with those who have crossed over. And to close the gap. Because they are only on the other side of the spiritual veil. They are still with us. They are still around us. And life is so much more fulfilling whenever you know that, you believe that, when you can feel that, when you can communicate with them.

So, the angels are encouraging you. Will you take on what they have encouraged you to do this week? Will you consider practising your skill of mediumship, to connect with those who have crosssed over, those you would love to feel still around you, hear still around you, talk to and communicate with? You can do it. You've got it in you. You just have to believe in yourself. And it will bring into your life, so much peace and harmony with it.

But, as the angel is standing here on the cloud, it does require slightly higher thinking, thinking outside the box, because so many of us have been taught and told that mediumship is only for the gifted few. So many of us have been taught and told that, as a child who is so naturally intuitive and talks to loved ones who have crossed over, talks to spirit, talks to imaginary friends, that it's not the thing to do. Our intuition was knocked down and, therefore, we close off to it. But it's still inside us. It's a matter of stepping up and thinking outside the box, taking your thinking to a higher level and releasing that beautiful gift of mediumship, of intuition.
